Does it annoy you when you do a web search, and then get bombarded by adds for the same item on various sites for the next month? You know that Google/Yahoo are recording, saving, and sharing your search history with both advertisers and the NSA. Doesn't this bug you? You can end it all... use a proxy server.
SafeSearch protects your privacy in two fundamental ways.
1) Instead of going directly to Google, it makes available the web's most secure and respected 'proxy servers', which are like a middle-man. You send your search terms to then, they will perform the search on Google, and send the results back to you. Google doesn't see you OR your IP address. These proxy servers are well known and widely respected for their privacy policies and their ability to insure your anonymity.
2) The browser you use can be a source of security problems. Browsers will typically save a history of every site you visit, viewable later by you or anyone else with access (both legal and surreptitious) to your phone/computer. Sites are also issuing invisible cookies that store their data on your device to help them, not you). Javascript is used by many sites to perform monkey-business behind your back, and generally for their benefit, not yours.
While SafeSearch will let you use your favorite browser to connect to various search engines proxies (as mentioned above), for the maximum security, SafeSearch provides you with a minimalistic, bare-bones web browser that insures there is no history stored, no cookies are received or sent, and javascript is disabled, all for your ultimate possible privacy.
SafeSearch provides the maximum possible protection to perform your searching and browsing with complete privacy.
BTW - You don't even NEED our app - try out a few of the great proxy services available (see screen-shots above for a few of OUR favorites), and use your favorite browser (if you can trust it :-).
